Our MMC and MDC calculator was redesigned with a single purpose: to teach you exactly the way the teacher teaches you on the school blackboard. Forget confusing tools that only spit out the end result; Here, we simulate the student's notebook step by step.
The Simultaneous Factoring Method
In Brazil, schools do not use Euclid's Algorithm to teach children. They use the "Vertical Line" (Simultaneous Factorization). Therefore, we programmed our tool to draw exactly this table on the screen!
You enter the numbers, and we draw the vertical bar, dividing line by line through the prime numbers (by 2, by 3, by 5...), until they all reach the number 1. This allows the student to not only copy the final answer, but to copy the entire math to the homework sheet.
What is MMC (Least Common Multiple)?
The MMC is the smallest number (greater than zero) that is a multiple of all numbers at the same time. On our digital whiteboard, we teach you how to find it: just take all the prime numbers that are on the right side of the vertical bar and multiply them.
What is the GCD (Greatest Common Divisor)?
The MDC is the largest number that divides all values without leaving a remainder. And here is our big didactic difference: in our table, we highlight in green and circle only the prime numbers that managed to divide ALL the numbers in that row at the same time. The school rule is clear: just take these green numbers and multiply them to find the perfect MDC!
How to use the MMC and MDC Calculator
Usage is simple:
- Enter the integer and positive numbers you want to calculate, separated by a comma or space (ex: 12, 18, 24).
- The tool automatically calculates the MMC and MDC of all numbers entered.
- Scroll down to see the complete simultaneous factorization table, with the prime numbers used in each line and those highlighted in green for the GCD.
It works with two, three or more numbers at the same time, so you can use the calculator for both school exercises and everyday problems.
