Your file never leaves your device
The conversion runs entirely inside your browser, using the image engine the browser already has. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is stored, and nobody else ever sees the file.
That matters more than it sounds for photographs, which carry metadata: the camera model, the date, and often the exact GPS coordinates where the picture was taken. Sending a personal photo to a conversion site hands all of that to a stranger. Here there is nothing to hand over, because nothing is sent.

What changes in the result
Two things to plan for. The size you export is the size you get: enlarging afterwards gives a blurry result, so export at the largest dimension you will actually need. And JPG has no transparency, so a transparent SVG background becomes solid. When transparency matters, export to PNG instead.
