What it is
The PNG to PDF Converter turns one or more PNG images into a single PDF, in the order you choose.
Why a PDF instead of the images
Because forms ask for it. An application that accepts one attachment, a school submission, an expense claim, a document sent to a lawyer or an accountant: all of them want a PDF, and none of them want six separate image files.
A PDF also fixes what images do not: page order is preserved, the file opens the same way on every device, and it prints predictably instead of being scaled to whatever the printer felt like.
How to use it
- Add your PNG files, all at once or one by one.
- Put them in order by dragging, because the order on screen is the page order in the document.
- Download the PDF.
Getting a usable document
Check the order before converting. It is the step everyone skips and the only one that is annoying to fix afterwards.
Watch the file size. PNG is lossless and heavy, and a PDF made of ten phone screenshots can easily pass 20 MB, which is above what many upload forms accept. Compressing the images first, with the image compressor, usually solves it.
Remember the text is a picture. A PDF built from images is not searchable and cannot be selected or copied. If the recipient needs to search it, that requires OCR, which is a different job.
