What is it
Remove Duplicate Lines is a free online tool that cleans lists with repeated items, leaving only one occurrence of each line. It's useful for organizing email lists, keywords, contacts, products, or any set of data pasted from a spreadsheet or other system.
As soon as you paste the list, the tool automatically calculates the total lines, the number of unique lines and how many duplicates were removed, as well as a bar that shows the percentage reduction of the original list. There is also a mini chart with the 5 items that were most repeated, which helps you quickly identify which values were causing the most duplication.
In addition to the removal itself, you can activate extra filters: ignore case (to treat Brazil and Brazil as the same item), remove empty lines, sort the list from A to Z and show the count of how many times each item appeared before cleaning.
How to use
- Paste your list into the text field, with one item per line.
- Activate or deactivate the filters you want: ignore capital letters, remove blanks, sort or show count.
- See the already cleaned result automatically appear in the right panel.
- Check the numbers of total, unique and removed, in addition to the chart of most repeated items.
- Click Copy to take the clean list to a spreadsheet, email or other system.
- Repeat the process as many times as you want, with different lists.
Tips
- Use the ignore case filter when the same information may be written in different ways in the original list.
- The sort A to Z option helps you review large lists visually, as well as organize duplicates that have already been removed.
- The top duplicates chart is useful for detecting typing or import errors in contact and keyword bases.
- All cleaning happens in your browser, so contact lists and sensitive data don't leave your computer.
