What is the FGTS Calculator?
The Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS) is a savings account opened by the employer on behalf of the worker. Every month, the company is obliged to deposit an amount corresponding to 8% of its gross salary into this Caixa Econômica Federal account. Important: this amount is not deducted from your salary, it is the employer's obligation.

40% fine
If you are fired without just cause, in addition to being able to withdraw the entire amount accumulated in the FGTS account, the company is obliged to pay a termination fine. The value of this fine is 40% of the total balance that the company itself deposited for you during the employment contract. Our calculator already calculates this automatically with the option "Include 40% Fine".
How to use the Calculator
- Gross Monthly Salary: The amount of your salary recorded in your employment record (including overtime and regular commissions, if any).
- Months Worked: How many months you have been (or were) at the company.
- 40% fine: Select this option if you want to simulate an unfair dismissal.
