Your file never leaves your device

That matters more than it sounds for photographs, which carry metadata: the camera model, the date, and often the exact GPS coordinates where the picture was taken. What changes in the result
JPG has no transparency, so a WebP with a transparent background comes out with a solid one. If you need to keep transparency, convert to PNG instead. Otherwise the visible difference is negligible.
